Massachusetts S991 amends the fees for furnishing transcripts of notes and audio recordings in the Commonwealth. The bill increases the fee for the original transcript from $4.50 to $7.50 and the fee per page for each copy from $.10 to $.20. It also increases the fee for a transcriber's notes or audio recording from $3 to $5 and the fee for additional paper copies from $1 to $1.67. The bill further adjusts the fee for a transcriber's notes or audio recording from $5 to $8.35. The rates and fees will be increased to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index starting July 2028.
