The bill creates a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers knowledgeable in autism. Eligible applicants include students attending the University of Massachusetts medical school, state-run/public nursing schools, and state-run/public dentistry schools who are studying issues related to autism or plan to work with individuals with autism upon graduation. Three scholarships will be awarded annually.
