Allows dental insurance subscribers to direct benefits to non-contracted providers.
This bill amends the General Laws to allow dental insurance subscribers to direct benefits to dental care providers who have not contracted with the insurer but meet credentialing criteria. The insurer must pay the benefits directly to the provider if the subscriber provides written direction. The amount paid must be at least equal to the amount paid to participating dentists. The insurer has the right to review related records.
