Massachusetts S608 aims to eliminate untreated combined sewer overflows in certain areas by 2035.

Massachusetts S608 amends Chapter 21 of the General Laws to address combined sewer overflows. It mandates that by January 1, 2035, there should be no untreated combined sewer overflows in specific Massachusetts Water Resources Authority sewer service areas during any 25-year 24-hour storm event or smaller.
