The bill establishes a special legislative commission to investigate and study ways to promote equity in agriculture in Massachusetts. The commission will develop recommendations for supporting investments, policies, and practices designed to promote equity in agriculture for socially disadvantaged groups. These groups include, but are not limited to, African Americans, Cape Verdeans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, Caribbean Islanders, Native Americans, and Alaskan natives.
