Massachusetts S478 mandates providers to disclose entrance fee refunds to prospective residents in continuing care retirement communities.

Massachusetts S478 amends the General Laws to require providers of continuing care retirement communities to provide prospective residents with a separate document detailing the entrance fee refund. This document must state the refund amount and the process for making the refund when the resident leaves or dies. The requirement does not apply to fees paid for waiting lists.
