Establishes funds for school districts with increased English language learners.
The bill establishes funds to provide for increases in English language learners in school districts. It amends Chapter 71A of the General Laws by adding a section that provides additional cost reimbursements from the Commonwealth for school districts with at least a 20-student increase in English learners. These reimbursements are calculated based on the difference between the number of English learners on October 1 of the prior fiscal year and the number of English learners on October 1 of the current fiscal year.
