Massachusetts S351 requires public high schools to include hands-only CPR training and defibrillator use in their health education curriculum. This training must be part of the existing physical education or health education curriculum for grades 9 through 12. Schools can choose a no-cost, non-certification program from a nationally recognized association. Participation is mandatory for graduation unless a physician certifies it would be injurious or a parent objects in writing. The act takes effect on September 1, 2025.
