Allows recall elections for members of the Freetown-Lakeville regional school district.
This bill provides for recall elections for members of the Freetown-Lakeville regional school district. It allows 150 registered voters to initiate a recall by filing a petition with the secretary of the school committee. If the petition is sufficient, the secretary submits it to the regional school committee, which must notify the member and request their resignation. If the member does not resign, the committee requests the board of the secretary to order an election. The incumbent continues to perform duties until the election.
