The bill authorizes the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance to take certain land in Norwood by eminent domain for a health care.

The bill allows the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance to take by eminent domain a parcel of land in Norwood for use as a health care facility. The commissioner must establish the value of the parcel using accepted appraisal methodologies. The town of Norwood has the right of first refusal to purchase the parcel. If the town does not purchase the parcel within 90 days, the commissioner can sell, lease, or transfer the parcel to a qualified nonprofit organization.
