Introduced·6/23/26
Introduced Text

Massachusetts S3189 authorizes the Department of Fish and Game to convey easements for pipeline construction.

Massachusetts S3189 allows the Department of Fish and Game to transfer easements for pipeline construction, maintenance, and operation. The easements cover specific parcels of land, including Joint Base Cape Cod. Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC will compensate the Commonwealth at least the full market value of the easements. The Department of Fish and Game must ensure no net loss of land designated for fish and wildlife conservation and public recreation. The bill also mandates independent appraisals of the easements and requires the inspector general to review and approve these appraisals.
