Massachusetts S3106, also known as the Toxic-Free Medical Devices Act, prohibits the manufacture, sale, or distribution of intravenous solution containers and intravenous tubing products containing intentionally added Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) and other ortho-phthalates. Exceptions allow for trace amounts of DEHP if it is not used for a functional or technical effect and does not exceed 0.1 percent weight per weight.
