Massachusetts S3088 authorizes the Boylston Select Board to appoint a Lieutenant in the Police Department for up to three years.

Massachusetts S3088 allows the Select Board of the town of Boylston to appoint a Lieutenant in the Police Department for a term up to three years. This authorization overrides certain sections of chapter 41 and any by-laws adopted under those sections. The employment contract for the Lieutenant must follow the same terms, conditions, and limitations as those applicable to other municipal employees as designated in section 108N of chapter 41. The act takes effect upon its passage.
