Establishes the Boston Inspector General Oversight Commission to oversee the Inspector General.

The bill establishes the Boston Inspector General Oversight Commission to oversee the Inspector General. The Commission will appoint an Inspector General, who will serve a five-year term. The Inspector General will have the authority to investigate city operations, including finances, and to issue subpoenas. The Commission will review and approve the annual budget proposed by the Inspector General. Members of the Commission cannot hold public office or participate in political campaigns while serving. The Commission will conduct a performance review of the Inspector General every two years.
