Expands the mission of the Office of the Veteran Advocate to better serve veterans and servicemembers.

The bill expands the mission of the Office of the Veteran Advocate to include ensuring humane and dignified treatment, timely and effective services, and full access to benefits for veterans and servicemembers. It also mandates the office to analyze service delivery, advise on improvements, and investigate incidents of serious injury or neglect. The advocate is appointed by the attorney general, state auditor, and governor, and serves for up to 10 years. The office will report annually to the governor and the public.
