Directs MBTA to place naloxone in subway stations to combat opioid overdoses.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is required to place naloxone in all MBTA Blue Line, Green Line, Orange Line, and Red Line stations. Each station will have two freestanding, unalarmed naloxone boxes, each containing two units of 4 milligram intranasal naloxone spray. The boxes will be checked daily for replacement of used naloxone. Flyers with naloxone training information and transportation instructions will be mounted around the boxes.
