This bill amends Chapter 30B procurement rules in Massachusetts. It raises the threshold for seeking written quotations from three persons for supplies or services from $50,000 to $100,000. The procurement officer must record details of the quotations sought and awarded. The procurement officer must award the contract to the responsible person offering the needed quality of supply or service at the lowest quotation, unless the procurement officer elected to procure the supply or service subject to section 6.
