S.1924

Increasing the excise tax rate for jet fuel

Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Increases the excise tax rate for jet fuel in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts S1924 amends the definition of "Tax per gallon" in Section 1 of chapter 64J of the General Laws to set the tax rate for jet fuel at the same level as the tax rate for other fuels. This change aligns the tax on jet fuel with the tax on other fuels, potentially increasing revenue for the Commonwealth.
