Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Adds Massachusetts certified emergency telecommunicators to Group 2 of the contributory retirement system for public employees.

This bill amends the Massachusetts General Laws to include certain certified emergency telecommunicators in Group 2 of the contributory retirement system for public employees. Specifically, it adds full-time Dispatchers, Dispatch Supervisors, Communications Center Directors, or Communications Chiefs certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State 911 Department as Certified Telecommunicators. This change aims to ensure these telecommunicators are covered under the retirement system, aligning their benefits with other public employees in similar roles.
