Massachusetts S1868 amends Option (d) beneficiary rules for retirement benefits.

Massachusetts S1868 modifies the rules for Option (d) beneficiaries, allowing a member to nominate eligible beneficiaries to receive a portion of their yearly allowance if they die before retirement. The benefit amount is calculated using the youngest beneficiary's age at the member's death. If a beneficiary dies, their share is divided among the remaining beneficiaries.
