This bill amends the General Laws to create a new subsection for creditable service for veterans in public service. It specifies that an employee with seven years of creditable service who is a veteran will be advanced to the maximum step in their job group. This applies to employees who meet the requirements of subsection 1C of section 46 of chapter 30.
