Massachusetts S1542 amends the definition of podiatry to include the diagnosis and treatment of ailments of the human foot and lower leg through medical, mechanical, electrical, or surgical means. The bill also expands the definition of "physician" to include podiatrists registered under section 16. Certain sections of the law will not apply to surgeons of the United States army, navy, or Public Health Service, or to physicians registered in the commonwealth.
