Massachusetts S1510 amends Chapter 112 of the general laws to redefine "podiatry" as the diagnosis and treatment of ailments of the human foot and lower leg using medical, mechanical, electrical, or surgical means. The bill also includes podiatrists in the definition of "physician" for certain sections. This change does not apply to surgeons of the United States army, navy, or Public Health Service, or to physicians registered in the commonwealth.
