Massachusetts S1483 mandates ingredient disclosure for menstrual products sold in the state.
Massachusetts S1483 requires manufacturers of menstrual products to list all ingredients on a label in order of predominance, with a minimum font size of 10 points. The label must be on the outside of the package or box. Manufacturers must also post the ingredient information on an internet website in an electronically readable format. The bill defines "ingredient" as an intentionally added substance present in the menstrual product and "manufacturer" as the entity whose name appears on the product label or for whom the product is manufactured or distributed.
