Extends the civil statute of limitations for child abuse in Massachusetts.

This bill extends the civil statute of limitations for child abuse in Massachusetts. It allows actions alleging abuse to be commenced within 35 years of the alleged acts or within 7 years of when the victim discovered or reasonably should have discovered the emotional or psychological injury, whichever is later. The statute of limitations is tolled until the child reaches 18 years of age. The act applies regardless of when the action or claim accrued or was filed.
