Massachusetts H818 requires individuals in major policymaking positions to disclose donations to entities engaging in political activities. These entities include those formed under Internal Revenue Code sections 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), and 501(c)(6), as well as limited liability corporations. The disclosure applies if the entity makes contributions to support or oppose candidates, make independent expenditures, support or oppose a ballot question, or make electioneering communications. Political committees must report any transfers of $1,000 or more to these entities.
