Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Establishes assisted living services as an option for MassHealth members in Massachusetts.

The bill proposes to create assisted living services as an option for MassHealth members in Massachusetts, similar to how other states have implemented such services. It mandates the executive office of health and human services to report on the status of submitted and pending applications for federal approval, including the fiscal impact on the state. Additionally, the executive office of aging and independence must report on the structural, organizational, or cultural barriers that MassHealth members face in accessing assisted living residences.
