Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Establishes an informal dispute resolution process for assisted living facilities to appeal findings.

This bill amends Chapter 19D of the Massachusetts General Laws to introduce an informal dispute resolution process for assisted living facilities. It allows residences to contest findings issued by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs that require corrective action. The process includes a written request to dispute findings within 10 days of receipt. A 10-member committee, including representatives from various organizations, reviews appeals and can recommend retaining or deleting the finding.
