Establishes a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly in Massachusetts.
The bill establishes the Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Massachusetts, a service delivery model designed to keep older persons in the community while providing for medical and long-term care needs. MassHealth will contract with PACE organizations to provide comprehensive healthcare services to enrollees. Enrollment is voluntary, and enrollees must meet the skilled-nursing-facility level of care criteria.
