Introduced·2/27/25
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H632 amends enrollment preferences for high need students at charter schools.

Massachusetts H632 amends the General Laws to allow commonwealth charter schools to offer enrollment preferences to certain high need students, including those with special needs, English learners, students in foster care, or other at-risk students. The board of elementary and secondary education will define the specific student subgroups eligible for these preferences and the implementation process. This change applies to students admitted through the lottery and those admitted off the waitlist.
