Massachusetts H5640 allows the town of Hingham to transfer specific land parcels to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for highway purposes. The town must transfer an 8-acre portion of a 10.78-acre parcel to its conservation commission. The Department of Transportation will compensate the town at least 110% of the fair market value or value in use of the transferred lands. The Department must submit appraisals and a report to the inspector general for review and approval. The act takes effect upon passage.
