The bill authorizes the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to take certain easements over land in Woburn and Burlington for highway purposes. The land in question is held in trust by the city of Boston for the Mary P. C. Cummings Testamentary Trust. The easements are intended to support an intersection improvement project at Cambridge Road at South Bedford Street and Bedford Road in Woburn. The department will assume all costs associated with engineering, surveys, appraisals, deed preparation, and other expenses necessary to execute the takings.
