Massachusetts H5471 authorizes municipalities to participate in a temporary pilot program extending the hours of liquor licenses and allowing public consumption in designated districts during the summer of 2026. Licensed establishments within these districts can sell alcoholic beverages for an additional hour, up to 3:00 a.m., from June 8 to July 31, 2026. Municipalities can designate specific areas where public consumption is permitted, subject to local restrictions. The pilot program expires on July 31, 2026.
