Establishes a one-year moratorium on large scale ground-mounted solar photovoltaic installations and battery energy storage systems in Worthington.

The bill establishes a temporary moratorium on large scale ground-mounted solar photovoltaic installations and battery energy storage systems in Worthington, Massachusetts. This moratorium will last for one year or until the town adopts amendments to its Zoning Bylaws concerning these installations, whichever comes first. During this period, the town must study and analyze what revisions to the Zoning Bylaws are needed to regulate these installations while protecting ecological resources and furthering planning goals. The moratorium does not apply to residential installations.
