Massachusetts H505 amends the General Laws to provide state support for municipal private special education costs. The bill requires the Bureau of Purchased Services and the Unit for Special Education Pricing to submit proposed cost increases for approved private special education programs by March 1st each year. Any increases submitted after March 1st will not take effect until July 1st of the following year. The bill also seeks supplement funding for an increase of 2.5 percent under Article CXXI of the Massachusetts Constitution.
