Massachusetts H5046, also known as Freddy’s law, mandates that high school athletes in the state complete at least one electrocardiogram screening before participating in interscholastic athletic competitions starting in the 2026-2027 school year. The Department of Public Health will assist the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association in developing policies and procedures for these screenings.
