H5015

Relative to rate equity for community health centers

Introduced·2/5/26
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H5015 ensures rate equity for community health centers by requiring reimbursement equivalent to MassHealth rates.

Massachusetts H5015 amends state laws to ensure that community health centers receive reimbursement rates equivalent to those provided by MassHealth. This applies to various entities including health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, and dental service corporations. The bill mandates that these entities reimburse community health centers at least the amount the centers would have received if reimbursed by MassHealth, using a methodology conforming to federal statutes. The Division of Insurance must issue regulations by January 1, 2027, to implement these provisions.
