H4992

Authorizing the Barnstable county and the town of Bourne to convey certain parcels of land and certain interests in land in the town of Bourne

Final Passage·7/30/26
Introduced Text

Authorizes Barnstable County and the town of Bourne to transfer specific land parcels and interests in land within Bourne.

This bill allows Barnstable County to transfer two parcels of land currently used for an assisted living senior residence to the town of Bourne. The transfer is subject to a conservation restriction, approval from the Cape Cod Commission, and a ground lease for the senior living center. The town of Bourne may then assign the conservation restriction to Barnstable County for the acquisition of these parcels. The bill ensures the conservation restriction is not merged in the process.
