Health savings accounts in Massachusetts exempt from certain state law cost-sharing requirements.

This bill amends Chapter 176O of the General Laws to exempt health savings accounts from certain state law cost-sharing requirements. Specifically, it excludes any coverage required by state law for preventive care from the exemption. The exemption applies to health savings account-qualified health insurance policies, which must meet the criteria for a high deductible health plan under federal law. The exemption is necessary to meet the criteria for a health savings account-qualified health insurance policy.
