Relative to the maintenance of pre-employment physical examination records for public safety personnel in the city of Quincy

Chamber Passed·5/21/26
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H4890 mandates the Quincy Retirement Board to apply certain presumptions to public safety personnel seeking Accidental Disability.

Massachusetts H4890 requires the Quincy Retirement Board to apply presumptions to public safety personnel applying for Accidental Disability Retirement. If the board cannot locate or maintain a complete record of the member's pre-employment physical examination, the member or employer may submit an affidavit attesting that the member underwent an examination and that it did not reveal any evidence of the disabling condition. This affidavit serves as substantial evidence of the member's successful pre-employment physical examination.
