Introduced·12/15/25
Introduced Text

Massachusetts H4848 allows Colrain to keep Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Worden Sr. past the usual retirement age of 65.

Massachusetts H4848 permits the town of Colrain to retain Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Worden Sr. beyond the standard retirement age of 65, up to age 70, if he remains physically and mentally fit. The town can require him to undergo a medical examination at its expense to assess his capability. This act does not protect him from removal or suspension under applicable laws. Additionally, no deductions will be made from his compensation for service after age 65, and he will receive a retirement allowance as if he had retired at 65.
