Introduced·8/11/25
Introduced Text

Expands Medicaid coverage for autism treatment in Massachusetts to include services by assistant level providers.

This bill amends the General Laws to expand Medicaid coverage for autism treatment in Massachusetts. It recognizes assistant level providers, including Behavior Technicians, Licensed Assistant Applied Behavior Analysts, and Licensed Applied Behavior Analysts, for applied behavior analysis services. Coverage also extends to augmentative and alternative communication devices, including tablets, if federal funds are available. The bill ensures coverage for devices not eligible for federal funds if the cost is comparable to those eligible for federal funds.
