This bill exempts the construction and development of subsidized affordable housing and branch library space in Dorchester, Boston from certain procurement laws. Specifically, it exempts the project from section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws and limits on the cost of acquisition. It also exempts contracts for construction from section 39M of chapter 30 of the General Laws if the project is funded by state or federal low-income housing tax credit, grant, or loan, or tax-exempt bonds. The bill takes effect upon passage.
