Allows probation officers to arrest individuals on probation without a warrant if they violate probation conditions.
This bill amends Chapter 279 to allow probation officers to arrest individuals on probation without a warrant if they violate the conditions set by the court. The probation officer can then take the individual before the court for sentencing or other lawful disposition. If the probationer has not been sentenced, the court may sentence them or make any other lawful disposition of the case. If the probationer has been sentenced, the court may continue or revoke the suspension of the execution of their sentence.
