This bill allows the town of Westford to release agricultural preservation restrictions on certain lands owned by Westford Gateway, LLC, for the purpose of road rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The release is subject to the town receiving compensation at least equal to the fair market value or value in use of the impacted lands, as determined by an independent appraisal. The funds must be deposited into the town's Community Preservation Fund for land acquisition for conservation or agricultural preservation.
