This bill amends the educational and experience requirements for obtaining a certificate to become a certified public accountant in Massachusetts. It allows for a bachelor’s degree with two years of experience, a bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours of additional education, or a master’s degree with one year of experience. It also modifies the qualifications for out-of-state accountants to practice in Massachusetts. The changes take effect on January 1, 2026.
