Cambridge authorized to issue parking violation notices via ALPR and mail.

This bill authorizes the city of Cambridge to issue parking violation notices using automated license plate readers (ALPR) and similar technologies, in addition to the methods prescribed in state law. Notices must be mailed to the vehicle's registrant within ten days, excluding Sundays and holidays. The notices must include evidence of the violation, such as photographs or monitoring data. This act takes effect upon passage.
