Massachusetts H4204 amends city election laws to prevent individuals from simultaneously holding the offices of Mayor, City Councilor, or School Committee member while also holding another elected or appointed city office or a city position with salary or compensation from the city treasury. This rule does not apply to City Councilors serving as acting Mayor. The act applies to city elections starting with the 2025 biennial municipal election.
