This bill establishes a process for recall elections in the town of Lanesborough, Massachusetts. Any office holder of elective office in the town may be recalled by registered voters for reasons including lack of fitness, neglect of duties, corruption, misfeasance, or violation of oath. The recall process begins when ten registered voters file an affidavit with the town clerk. If the officer does not resign within seven days, the select board must order an election within 60 to 90 days.
