Chamber Passed·4/28/26
Introduced Text

Authorizes the Provincetown Year-Round Market Rate Rental Housing Trust to acquire year-round housing occupancy restrictions.

This bill authorizes the Provincetown Year-Round Market Rate Rental Housing Trust to acquire year-round housing occupancy restrictions. These restrictions limit the use of land to residential housing for primary occupancy for at least 11 months per year. The acquisition must be approved by the Select Board and a vote of the town. The restrictions can be enforced by the holder, who can enter the land to ensure compliance. The bill also allows for the release of restrictions, in whole or in part, after a public hearing and approval by the Select Board.
